Most electrical call-outs start the same way: something trips, gets reset, works for a while, then trips again. That cycle can continue for months, and each repetition is a circuit protection device doing exactly what it exists to do while the underlying fault stays unaddressed.
Finding the cause is a testing exercise, not a guessing one. Insulation resistance testing, earth continuity, and load measurement establish where the fault actually sits. That takes longer than swapping a breaker but it ends the problem instead of postponing it.
Treat as urgent: a burning smell, visible scorching, or a socket hot to the touch. Switch that circuit off at the board and call rather than waiting for a convenient appointment. These are the conditions that precede fires.
Faults get located with instruments and the results recorded. A circuit that “seems fine now” is not a diagnosis.
Connections torqued correctly, cable sized for the load, and terminations made properly. Most electrical failures we attend originate at a loose connection that heat-cycled its way apart over years.
A breaker that trips repeatedly is doing its job — something is drawing more current than the circuit allows, or there is a leakage path to earth. The usual causes are a faulty appliance, moisture in an outdoor or bathroom circuit, or a circuit carrying more load than it was designed for. Resetting it repeatedly without finding the cause is the one response to avoid, because the breaker is the protection.
Unplug everything on the affected circuit, reset the breaker, then reconnect items one at a time leaving a few minutes between each. The appliance that trips it is your culprit. If the breaker trips with nothing connected at all, the fault is in the fixed wiring and needs testing rather than trial and error.

Where work requires formal DEWA approval or inspection — new supply, main board changes, or load increases — that process runs through DEWA itself and we will tell you when your job falls into that category rather than after the work is done.
Heat and dust, mostly. Ceiling voids in Dubai run extremely hot, which shortens the life of drivers and transformers in LED fittings well before the LEDs themselves fail. Dust ingress into switches and sockets accounts for much of the rest. Fittings rated for higher ambient temperatures last considerably longer here.
In most cases, yes — replacing existing fittings or working through existing openings needs no new damage at all. New positions require cutting, but we plan runs to minimise it and make good afterwards. Where a ceiling is going to need patching and painting, we tell you that up front so it is part of the quote rather than a surprise.
It depends entirely on the existing circuit — its rating, its current load, and its cable size. Adding sockets to a circuit already near capacity creates exactly the overload condition that causes nuisance tripping and, over time, overheating at connections. We check the circuit before extending it rather than assuming there is headroom.
